You can try writing with special pens, some are made of wood, some of glass. They can be straight, or bent - oblique, some are handmade and look like a magic wand.
Try different brands and types of ink to learn about the flow, some are naturally made, some glittery.
You can try many nibs - some are tiny, one looks like a hand with pointed finger, one like a broken arm, one like a beetle, one is coated in titanium, some listen to your pressure and other ones are very stubborn.
There are many materials I can show you and you’ll write on them - paper made of stone, agate slice, papers that are structured, some transparent and smooth like magical vellum, another one is handmade at an old mill, some have little petals in them, some are made in a family run paper factory that made a particular black stationery even for Madonna.
We can wax stamp with a wax gun, burn the wax, or melt it in a spoon. We can add dry flowers into the wax stamp, golden thread, hand dyed silk ribbons, or golden leaf.
I have many wax stamp motives and wax colours available and you may bring something you’d like to wax stamp on - love note, a bottle of something delicious, jewellery box, Christmas gifts, name cards, your journal…
I can teach you tricks of calligraphers how to make sure your writing is straight on an invisible line or how to centre your writing.
Calligraphy is your oyster!
ADVANCED classes are held privately 1 on 1 as everyone is on a different level and has different interests.
I can come to you or we can meet in the studio in downtown Copenhagen.
The class lasts approx. 2 hours and starts at 1 500 DKK based on your customisation.
