I have made a few posters before, such as a huge A0 format of Ayrton Senna’s quote – it was a gigantic housewarming gift, white letters on a black paper, and took several days of constant work – there is actually a lot of drafting, counting, and geometry involved!

I love making these gifts, because they are so versatile and so personal.

I always imagine the story behind, and the moment of opening it.

A month ago, a young man sent me a request for a handwritten poster.

It was several touching sentences, and later he explained it was a gift for his lady who celebrates her 30th birthday, and also just gave birth to their baby.

They were words of love, strength, and appreciation.

We agreed to make an A3 poster with black writing on off-white paper, with golden details.

Now his partner can read these sweet words every day, and have a beautiful memory of this special time of their lives.
